My mother (51 years old) is currently suffering from this disease and for the past 2 weeks has been in a coma. They are currently doing plasma phoresis, but so far no changes are noted. They have identified the autoantibodies as CRMP-5. As for some background info, she had a thymoma removed last January and was starting to recover muscle function slowly until about in September when she became very fatigued and acquired shingles and then memory loss began. She has been in the hospital for about 3.5 weeks now. <br />Thanks for considering this. Any feedback appreciatedAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16572312825637537519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30837446.post-56610059559139514492009-11-18T09:56:11.956-08:002009-11-18T09:56:11.956-08:00Disease.com is currently in the progress of choosi...Disease.com is currently in the progress of choosing blogs to receive recognition from Disease.com as Top Blogs. I HAVE found that tonic water (quinine), magnesium laxative in a Fleets, erythromycin, zithomax, cipro have made me weak. K-lyte when very weak has made me stronger for awhile. I am on atenolol and quinapril (any quinine in quinapril) for high blood pressure. Any ideas for best blood pressure med? In either regard, as Aicardi Syndrome incorporates Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum as a significant facet, wouldn't your noting of "2. congenital absent callosum" take care of it? E.g. listing Aicardi Syndrome is at that point redundant, since Aicardi Syndrome almost always includes ACC?danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03963444550353874347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30837446.post-30407592956707550162008-08-30T01:57:00.000-07:002008-08-30T01:57:00.000-07:00GHB is Gamma Hydroxybutyrate. It is where she went into the ganglion cluster of the trigeminal nerve and injected it with a alcohol solution that basically kills the nerve. he was pain free for a year with no side effects. the pain can come back but will very from patient to patient (lasting months to years). he had a second nerve block done with success but one of the side effects was a condition caused by the alcohol called ANESTHESIA DEL LA ROSA it is a very painful condition but it effectively treated with Cymbalta. My father is on 90 mg a day and is pain free. good luckJuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00958755508087018402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30837446.post-5012779737953317742008-01-24T19:57:00.000-08:002008-01-24T19:57:00.000-08:00HiI am a 38 yr old female recently diagnosed with ...HiI am a 38 yr old female recently diagnosed with SUNCT.
